Predictions

Predict breeding values

The Predictions module allows you to predict the breeding values of a population that has not yet been phenotyped or observed. The predicted breeding values are driven by the evaluated models in the Models module.

What you need:

a. Genotype file
b. An evaluated model

Steps:

  1. On the sidebar to your left, click Predictions

  2. On the Predictions page, click Predict

  3. Predict modal will be displayed, requiring you the following inputs:

    a. Prediction Name - name of your model
    b. Genotype file - genotype data of an unobserved (not yet phenotype) population
    d. Model - the model you want to use for prediction

  1. Enter a Model Name

  2. Click Select Genotype to upload a Genotype file. This Genotype file is usually a population that has not yet been phenotyped or observed.

  3. Click Select Model to select an evaluated model.

  4. Once the required inputs are complete, click Create to start predicting.

  5. By default, the initial status will be PROCESSING, which means that the prediction task is ongoing.

  6. You can click the refresh button to see the latest STATUS.

  7. If the model evaluation is successful, the STATUS column should be EVALUATED.

  8. On the Predictions page, click on the prediction with SUCCESS status.

  9. You will be redirected to the prediction's overview page. Details such as Name, Genotype file used, Model used, and creation date are displayed.

  10. On the same page, click result.

  11. You will be redirected to the prediction results.
